Voodoo

Voodoo is a religion/culture and way of life for millions of people around the world including Haiti. Haiti is known for some of the most powerful voodoo priests and preistessess in the world. The voodoo spirits, known collectively as loa or "lwa" are very powerful and quick acting. There are hundreds of "Lwa" (Haitian deities) who hail from West and Central Africa. They are spirits that inhabit the cosmos; they are cosmic, energetic forces representing or represented by natural forces, emotions or values that are important to the Haitian people. The "vèvè" (the symbols) are esoteric drawings of corn meal, flour or gunpowder that "concentrate" energies of a particular spirit so that he/she might be inclined to reveal him/herself by materializing in the body of one of the devotees. The vèvè are the signature of the Gods. The Lwa are spiritual forces in the national religion of Haiti, Vodou. It is similar to Native American religions, Shinto in Japan and Hinduism in India. It is a close cousin of other African religions in the Americas, Cuban Regla de Ocha (Santeria), Brazilian Candomblè and Trinidadian Shango.
The curious practitioner can find an abundant amount of information about voodoo and Haiti on the internet. It is my goal to simply show you how to invoke these powerful forces to change things in your life. Erzulie Freda Dahoumin (Ezili) is a female principle who "defines" Love in all its sensual attributes. Her sister Erzulie Dantor is motherly love ..fiercely loyal to those who worship her. Very protective of the children, and single mothers. Freda is a beautiful seductress, difficult and demanding. She loves luxurious items such as perfume and champagne and gold. She can bring you luxury if you so desire it. To man, she is "mistress," rather than spouse. There are many aspects of Erzulie, but any one can be used to attract love, get revenge against a lover, to dominate a lover, etc. Never misuse this power! It is never a good idea to wish to "punish" a lover for cheating on you, etc. It is better just to leave him/her and use Erzulie energy to attract somebody new.

Legba Ati-bon is the first Spirit called at all ceremonies. He opens and closes the door to success and opportunity. He is the energy that always talks to us as that "other" voice in our head ...when it comes to making choices. He plays the "devil's advocate". Then he laughs at us when we make bad choices in our life. He is extremely quick acting in nature...like quicksilver (which is one of his elements).He stands at the "Crossroads," he is a master linguist, a trickster. He can appear as a very old and crippled man, but appearances are deceiving. He is powerful: He allows for the interaction between the physical world and the metaphysical world, hence the crossroads. In some traditions, he would also be called "the gatekeeper."

Invocation of Voodoo Spirits

These spirits can be invoked by using your emotional energy. Simply copy the symbol off the website... and write on the back of the paper your desire.

So if you are looking for money in terms of business success or in the work place, then use Legba's symbol. Erzulie can bring money too, but more thru social events, people etc. OK, so we have the paper copy of the Legba symbol. On the back of the paper you write down exactly what you need. "I need to find a new job in the food services industry" (stick with your area of expertise and knowledge for quicker results). Now take the paper into your hands and rub it in the palm of your hand. While you are lightly rubbing the paper, visualize yourself at the new job working already. After the 5 minutes of visuals, now you must send this spell off with a bang of energy. The spirits need some of your energy (emotion) to "get the task done". Here you will draw up from within yourself a strong emotional desire for work....and project it in to the symbol on the paper ! Strong emotional energy is very important.
